Authors note: I’m writing this piece to bring my grade up for point of view. This is about Jenna point of view of Mrs. Gladstone

                                            The determination

Have you ever read the book “Rules Of The Road” well it is an excellent book. There are ups and downs in the book but it is a very good book.

In the begging of the book Jenna meets Mrs. Gladstone. Jenna thinks she is a spoiled old person. Jenna was thinking if she had that type of money she will be rich and so many friends. But would she have all these friends or would she be like Mrs. Gladstone. Well the way she feels if she gets money she can be like the popular kids at school but will she be like that or will people still hate her.

When Jenna driving Mrs. Gladstone to Texas she sees the good side of Mrs. Gladstone. She is nice and she cares for Jenna on the ride to Texas. Mrs. Gladstone doesn’t mind talking to Jenna about her problem. Mrs. Gladstone likes her accompanying her on her trip. But in the end Jenna finds out that Mrs. Gladstone respects her and takes care of her.

The end of the book was really good Jenna had more respect for Mrs. Gladstone. Elden was his same old self. But Jenna and Mrs. Gladstone cared for each other and had some fun. I think the end of the book really explains this to you and it did to me. Dad it time to change and this is your chance.

 Authors note: I’m writing this piece for cause and effect on the book “Rules of the road”.  I’m explaining how Jenna is angry with her dad. This is to bring my grade up cause effect.

                                                 What a life

Jenna went on the road trip to get away from her dad.

            Dad being away from you has been the best thing so far, you and your drinking problems need to stop. Mom and your daughter have been doing well they help grandma through her ups and downs. She has been happy not seeing you and being on this road trip makes me so happy because I don’t have to see you or here the phone calls. The road is the best place there is nothing that bothers me it me and the road.

            I you don’t get your act together I not help you. Your drinking has caused way too many problems. You coming into my work disturbing the costumers have made me very upset.  If you go get help maybe I will come see you. But if you don’t get help then I won’t help you. If you get help I tell mom to come visit you and your daughter. But you need the help and if you do get your help will be one happy family.

            My friends think I’m a loser because of you my friends say I’m going to be just like you. My workers made fun of me today because that incident we had at the shoe store. People have made fun of me for many reasons but this one is the biggest. But I still care for you and I want you to get the help. If you do this you will be reunited with your family.

            So if you get the help you need the family will be so happy. I do miss you a lot but I need you to go to those classes to make everything right. Mom your daughter and I need you in our life but you have to change. It’s your chance to change will you do it for us.

The Change-Up

    Authors note: this piece is about a boy that’s adopted and doesn’t know it he has a crush on holly. His really father is with the FBI. the boy is on the run from the FBI and the black hurricane a gang that hates him because his father. I got the idea from a movie abduction.                                                     

                                                         The Change Up

Hi I’m Austin I’m a kid that’s running from many people. 3 days before my phone went off as I flipped it open saying you going to the party of course I’m going. 4 o’clock came around so fast. As I got on my motorcycle and started driving down the road when my friends came flying up to me you ready for this huge party yeah I can’t wait. I was going to see holly she was dating a college kid named brad and she was a senior but I was going to get her. But that was going to be tough he had everything money good looks and everything. But of course at every party their drinking but we were able to you had to be 16 and I was senior. When I got there I saw everyone even holly and right next to her was brad. We were having such a good time when I looked down my watch said 12:30 am time flies when you’re having such a good time. When I was walking tords my bike I collapsed and I blanked out. “Ow!” something’s kicking me it was the girl that lived their telling me we had to leave, I got up as fast as I could and I called my dad to come pick me. I grabbed a bag and started cleaning 20 min later my dad was their thanks yeah great party. When we got home my dad had me start practicing my boxing I started throwing punches he came back knocked me over and said get back up. When I did I went after him he punched 3 more times and I went right to the ground get up. When I did I hit him right in the stomach cheap shot he hit me 3 more time when my mom came out stop you guys. Come inside Austin get cleaned up I walked over your grounded what I didn’t do anything you should have at least called.

2 days before today at school in LA you guys will be choosing one of these ideas lost kids, endangered animals and sicknesses. I got pared up with holly when she came over after school we decided to do kids that were lost. Holly said I’m not doing everything for you I know I’ll help. We got on our computers we were looking through kids when we saw a really good websites. Oh you want to send me that link yeah here. As I looked through the kids with holly we were making fun of some kids, then one pooped up it looked kinda like me but I wasn’t missing. Ring, ring holly phone went off hi grandpa oh yeah I’ll be home right away you have to go yeah you want me to come over around 6 yeah that fine. I have to go to Hollies house your grounded it for school fine. I ran to her house ok we have most of it done.  At 6:45 we were done so I ran home.

The day everything started I was looking around my house when I found the same shirt that the kid was wearing, so I ran and got to the computer and looked I zoomed in on the corner and I thought it is me. Ding dong I got it I ran down stairs hi lets go to my room. I think it’s me look at the shirt he’s wearing the one I have look at this shirt so everybody could have this shirt but look at the corner a juice stain in the exact same spots. Well I have to go I’ll be there by 7 ok.

I had to ask my mom if it was true. Mom is it true what am I adopted what no of course not. Your lying I found this and the kid is wearing the same shirt she started to cry it is true why didn’t you tell me I couldn’t I ran up the stairs. I called Holly hello Austin what’s wrong its true Holly oh my gosh I’ll be right over.

Ding dong I wasn’t going down their “hello” I heard my mom ask. “What do you want with my son?” Then I heard my mom do stuff I didn’t know what but it sounded like it was bad. I ran down the stairs my mom had killed one of the guys but one had a gun bang “Ow!” my gosh my parents just died. Dad came running through the door but the guy was already after me I jumped out the window. I didn’t know where the man was but I ran to the window and my dad pointed a gun his last words were run. So I did the guy didn’t come after me. Oh my gosh I just forgot about Holly I ran back to get her.

            I ran in the door and there she was with a gun pointed to her I did a slide kick he dropped then gun. I kicked him while he was down holly got up give me his gun. He said if you stay we will all die what do you mean there’s a bomb in the oven I ran to the oven and their it was ticking down from 7 seconds. I grabbed Holly and ran out the door boom the bomb went off as I was diving in the pool. The house was tearing to peaces a huge chunk of the came flying at us we docked back in the water. We got out as fast as we could look at your arm I have to get you to a hospital.

            Know what would you do in this position would you just get captured or do what Austin is doing. Austin is depressed how would you feel if your parents died right in front of you. How would it be to lose your house and all your belongings? Austin has a lot of problems what do you think he should do get caught or just keep running.

This story is about a young girl that’s a shoe salesmen and she is nice person sweet caring. She is driving Mrs. Gladstone to Texas

I think what will happen is the boy will get the shoe shop but will hire some bad shoe sales men. Then he will fire Jenna and then the profit will start to decrease. Then Mrs. Gladstone will fire her son and hire Jenna and have her own the shop. Then Jenna will have enough and buy her red car.

I think this because the son hired a guy that didn’t know what he was doing at all. I also think this because if he hires bad people they won’t know what they’re doing just like in the book.
