Authors note: I’m writing this piece to interest people in my book. I am also writing this to tell you how in matter of second thing can turn from good to bad.

                                           Good things turn bad

Do you like books? Well I do and these books are my favorite. HOLES and MY BROTHER SAM IS DEAD these books have a lot thing in common and things that aren’t in common. They are very good books. The books have very good topics in both books they have to fight for their freedom. They both work hard and it pays off in the end. These books have a lot in common they want to see their family and their always helping someone. I think these book are a lot alike and different they are both good books and they should be read. These books are very good and recommended by me and other friends.            These characters have a lot in common they both have parents that cared about them. In both books they love to talk to their parents. Sam liked to talk to his mom more than his dad but he still would talk to him and Stanley he would talk to everyone he would talk to anyone he could. He also helped Zero talk witch nobody thought he could but Stanley helped come over his fear and he started talking to him. They are both doing a lot of hard things in their life. Sam he is off fighting in the war trying not to get killed. Stanley is off digging holes for something he didn’t do, but he doesn’t care because he meets Zero and they turn out to be best friends.           He is sent to all boys camp because Zero threw shoes that were belonged to a pro and he donated them, and Zero took them off threw them off the bridge and hit Stanley and he picked them up the cops came and he got sentenced to an all boy’s camp. I think this was actually a good thing because then he wouldn’t have met Zero.  They wouldn’t have turned into best friends but all the guys at the camp were friends. I think the main conflict was the three people that were in charge that was a big problem.   Sam dad ended up dying because he was thought of as a trader, so he was arrested and threw on ship and died crossing the sea. Sam wants to be in the war but his dad is trying to stop him but he can’t. Then his Sam needs to take his families gun so he can fight in the war.          I think both these books are good and I think you should read them. I think both books have really good leads and it poled me in to read them. That’s why I think you should read them. This is why I think these books are similar.

I think Sam would have made his life better but then he dies.

            I think this anger was never resolved because Sam was never home. He would always fight with his son was yelled at and he got mad when his dad yelled at him. I think Sam would have tried to get a better connection with his dad but then Sam ended up getting shot. But I think they were going to get tight and then he got killed and that was really sad.

                                   Families and friends at war

 

Do you have friends or even family in the war? Well in my book a young boy goes off to war and he is fighting for his life. Do you fight for your friends and your family’s freedom well that’s what this boy fights for his. He fights even though his father doesn’t want him to fight. He is always disappointed with his son and he gets mad at his father.   

This book is about how a young boy who always wanted to be in the war and his dream came true. His parents thought it was good until his father figured out who he was fighting for it wasn’t the British he fought for the Minutemen. They fought bloody war and his father thought it was a disgrace because his son was fighting his own people. But all he wanted was freedom for his people and his father didn’t get that.

Were I am my prediction is that Sam dies and I don’t really think his father cares that he dies and it’s sad. I think that his father won’t care that he died and his wife and son will be devastated. But his dad was such a jerk to him and he was just disappointed in his son and that is terrible. Why did his father have to be such a jerk to him he didn’t do anything wrong he just joined up with the wrong team from his point of view.

I think this book you should read because it keeps bring up new ideas. It shows one person can make bad decision and I think that was his father. I think this book is very interesting and it talks about what happened during the war. I think this book talks about some problems that you might have with your friends and family but Sam stud up for both of them and his father didn’t care. That is why this book is pretty sad I think.

The Hopes of a Family

First of all, while many people mistreat the Greasers, they are a great example of how families stick together. Like when bob was trying to kill Ponyboy when Johnny showed up and saved Ponyboy and Johnny ended up killing bob. There is also the one were Johnny and Ponyboy help each other and they also save the children.  Then Johnny happened to get by a falling beam and one of his friends came to save him.

 Also, the Greasers are an example of how a family protects one another, no matter what. When Johnny killed Bob Dally was there to get Johnny and Ponyboy out of site so they wouldn’t be beat up or even killed. Also Dally saved Johnny and Ponyboy from the burning church it was because he loved them and wanted them to be safe. He did this because he cared about both of them.

Johnny treats everyone like a family except his parents his parents don’t like him they don’t even care for him. That’s why he cares for everyone else because he knew that his parents didn’t treat him with respect, so he decided to treat everyone with respect.

Dally never really had a family his parent died while he was going to school. Then when his parents died he wanted to watch after his brothers so he decided to drop out of school and stick to his family and that was his brothers.

I think the outsider shows the problems between the greasers they never really had anyone to love or to care for them until they became greasers. I think if the greasers kept make smart decisions they would be a really good family.

I think the greasers are one big happy family, this book talks about the different type of people. There are the Socs and the Greasers. Socs are the people that think they are better than the Greasers. They are believed to be perfect because they are wealthier. Greasers are family, not biologically, but friends that think they are a family and I do to. These friends are treated like crap in the town, but they stick by each other’s sides every step of the way. These guys bring each other up when they are down. They always got each other’s backs and always protect each other.

I think what family means to the greasers is your never left out even if your family doesn’t care about you. They never leave anyone of their kind out. They want to be there for everyone. I think the greasers are happy that more than one person loves them. I think they are also graceful to have a family like that, one that cares so much about you and everyone else who is part of the Greasers. I think that everyone knew that Johnny cared about them but then he passed away and the Greasers were devastated.

I think greasers are a family and would never break apart because they can stick together. They need each other, they protect each other, and don’t give up on one another. They have each other’s back because they don’t disappoint each other. They keep on growing and nobody slows them down because they care for each other. They don’t care what others think of them, just of what they think of each other.

I think it is worth it to keep them together. They make each other happy. their crew will always stick together. I think the Greasers will stay together their whole life. I think if they split up, they would have so many problems. But this is why I think the Greasers are family. They fought for each other and worked to stride for their goals and I think they are meant to be together. The bond they share is unbelievable. They fill each other with joy and they keep fighting for each other. This why I think this is a theme of family.

The Ways of Johnny

Johnny is my favorite character because of his personality. He is the head leader he loves everyone. He always wants to protect his team. He won’t even hurt but when he killed bob that was for self defense. I think Johnny love’s everyone because he wants to know what love is he was never loved so he loves others. Johnny cares about everyone in his clan he doesn’t like his parent at all. His team has hopes and dreams but those were crushed when Johnny died. I think his team was really upset when he died and sad because he was one of their leaders and he passed away with his team in the hospital.

Authors note: I wrote this because it’s one of my favorite sports. I love it and it my favorite thing to do.

My Heart and Soul  

Do you like the satisfaction of winning?

Do you like hard work? I dot I can that.

Do you like to pummel people without getting it trouble?

 Famous wrestler and Coach Dan Gable once said that “gold medals aren’t made of gold; they are made of sweet determination or lots of guts.”

Wrestling has its ups and downs. As any sport would. There are many things to like and many things to dislike for instance. Meet new people, make new friends, and have some good times wining.

But then there are the bad times. Working hard and sweating all the fluids out of your body. Hoping for a sip of water in the 2 ½ hours of drilling and wrestling as hard as you can. Treating everyone like your enemy on the mat .what happens on the matt stays on the mat.  But when off the mat treat them like best of friends.  That is one unique think about wrestling is that you can pick on people but you remain friends.

After all of that drilling you have to watch your weight which sucks that is the worst part about it. You can’t eat you can stay awake during class and when you get home from practice your too tired to do anything else.  When you’re watching your weight if you are over what is going to happen is getting your running shoes and running in snow or rain just to burn off the weight you have put on. When you’re running in the rain your socks get all wet and you start to get blisters on your feet and that not fun at all. Also Mornings are tough to, waking up at 500 just to go lift weights at 600 and then having school right after is not fun at all.

They day of the meets your all dress up looking good. At school that’s all you can think about is the meet your dazing off during class.

Then it is the weight INS hopping you made your weight.  You step on the scale watching it go up and down then boom its. You made it a sigh of relief. After you’re done with that you sit down and have a big snack like subway or something of that sort.

Then you step out of the locker room and you see everyone in the stands and you look over to see who you’re wrestling try to think what he is going to do.  Then you start to warm up thinking about what you’re going to do during your match. You start to warm up. Get all pumped and that sort of stuff.

Then meet starts your waiting until you have to go.

When you step on to the mat everything goes silent. You are ready to go when the referee say shake hands has you do that you stare your opponent in the eyes. Try to make him scared. Then the whistle blows. You are thinking about what to do and what he is going to do. Then you see something open and you take it. For a split second it can be the winning moments or the losing moment but you have to take risk. If you win it feels like the greatest thing in the world but if you loss you can’t even stand to look at anyone you just want to be in a punching the wall as hard as you can just to get all of your anger out.

This is why wrestling is one of my favorite sports you enjoy hanging with friends. You win medals you can lose matches but you still have fun and never know what can happen.

I’m proud of my country because what would happen if our country was run by the Germans. How would life be would we all be dead or would we be slaves? This country is the best because we done a lot of different things with our country then other countries have. If this country wasn’t farmed how would we make most of our food or milk? If I would have been born in a different place I think I wouldn’t have known all the good friends I have. I think our country is really good because we support one another in things we need help with.

Movies Are Better Than Books

Authors note: I wrote this because I think movies can be better then books. Movies can influence you on what you what to be older you can also see that in book but sometimes you can’t see it happening.

I think movies are better than books for a lot of reasons.

Why movies are better than book I think this is because

In movies you can see the action you feel like you’re there. But in a book you read it doesn’t make you’re there and books don’t hook you in then they just leave you hanging by a thread. I think book would be good if they weren’t so long but they are and movies are long but you watch things happen instead of reading.

Movies are better than books because you don’t have to read. If you get sad you can sit down and watch the movie. Things can be stressful and books take longer to read and movies it feel you’re the main character and it makes you feel like you’re in the movie and in all this action. Movies calm you down when you’re angry and it relaxes you so you’re not really angry.       If you remember a movie that’s good tell your friend’s maybe they will like it and they might go see it. Your friends are always ready to hear about a movie you saw or you’re going to see friends want to know was it good or bad. Friends don’t mind being talked to but don’t talk through the whole thing. Most important don’t give away the ending if you have seen it.      Movies are better than books.                                              Duck Hunting

Authors note: this is one of my favorite sports. Because it’s a hard sport and you have to be a good shot. You also have to be careful you want to be safe. This one of my favorite sports because get to spend time with my family.            It was opening weekend for duck hunting it was the perfect time for shooting duck and geese. Hi I’m Austin its starts today the best day ever duck hunting. Duck hunting is awesome its one of my favorite sports. This is one of my favorite sports because it fun its challenging and it a hard sport.  As I got into the duck blind I saw some ducks but it didn’t matter shooting hours weren’t for another 15 min. I waited for about 30 min when I saw a group of pintails coming right in as they squired right in front of us and my dad said takem. I jumped up and shot Bang, Bang, Bang they sky was full of ducks just a couple of seconds ago and know the sky was filled with none.  What great shooting don’t you think I do?          This afternoon was so boring we did not see a thing until a flock of wood ducks came coming they circled 4 times and came in bang I dropped the drake. Go get it Sam as he jumped in the water going to get my duck. As he brought it back and dropped it at my feet. What a good dog he is the best.         This night wasn’t too bad we got 2 geese and 1 mallard we were on a role. Then one duck came and landed in the decoys bang I hit it I woodened it took off and I missed the next two times. In a half hour I went to look for it with Sam. As I walked around the bushes it started swimming away bang it flipped over. My dog ran and picked it up. That was such a fun day I can’t wait for tomorrow.     Duck hunting s one of my favorite sports. This will be passed down through family. This is my favorite sport and always will be. This is my favorite things to do.

the championship game

Author note: this essay I came up with this because I like football. I wrote about football because I can relate to this. This is irony about a football team that got to cakey and lost

                                          The championship game.

Beep, Beep, Beep as the alarm went off this was the championship game, we worked our butts off for this the game to bring the trophy home but we had to beet Muskego. As I got my stuff on drove to the football game. We got their at 7:00 p.m. we were going to practice for 30 min. we were  do our retune warm up. As 30 min was up I was really scared I had to do everything.

I’m Austin I’m the QB and the kicker. As we got on the field the game started and I kicked it as hard as I could. We tackled him at the 30 yard line. As they got 2 first downs choach sent me in as a dog as they dropped back for a pas at our 50 yard I started running as I’m was breaking tackles and the I got nailed you could feel the tackle from the stand pop. But I got up here the play.  He trough it up their I heard the whistle of the ball as I grabbed it. I through it up and there was Ryan Mulvey with the TOUCHDOWN yeah we were screaming 7 to sip we were winning. There was about 3min left in the half when a through perfectly for them to score and they did.

2^nd half we got the ball there was only about 10 yards made. As I went in hike as I was about through it I was hit hard it was a loss of about 6 and this is when it all went wrong for me. Next play he trough it right over his intended receiver and it was picked off he ran it back for a touchdown I was so disappointed. Then the next drive hand off fumble they recovered at our 35 yard mark. As this when on the rest of the game went like this and the ending score was 28 to 26 we lost by 2 points. I never knew we could have a game like this. But it ended badly for us. I wasn’t happy I was sad I was very disappointed with myself know one else but me. If I would have made good passes then we might have had a chance.

Then he is thinking of getting back into fly fishing and he does. Then he meets a girl that’s a wild life cop and she helps him learn how to fly fish again.

This is where it gets interesting the man and the women are fishing. When the man Osborne comes across a body floating down the river. The women ran up to him and asked him what it was and she saw the body. They grabbed and dragged it to shore. Then they ran down the trail got to her truck and called the ambulance. When the ambulance got their they loaded the dead body into it.

This is where it gets interesting Osborne gets taken back for questioning. They think Osborne killed the man witch I don’t believe he did because why would you find the body and give him up. So then they talked to him for about a hour and let him go but what he didn’t know is that someone was following him is it the cops or is a killer. When he got back home he found a piece of mail that was a threat for all of his stuff or die.

This is when Osborn encounters the man that just killed a fisher. He notifies the police but they cant do anything. When this man came to him it wasn’t as a murder it was as a friend. I didn’t get this until he said I herd about the murder but know one knew about it. So then he started to spy on his friend or was he this killer
