What up with the lottery? Austin Shibilski
When you win the lottery you think
of winning money. But in the book “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson that is way
different instead of getting money you get stoned to death. In many towns they
stopped but in this town they didn’t and some people died this way. In the book
they always had a tradition, they had to go to town hall and pull a ticket and
who ever had a black dot was killed. What book does this remind you of this
book remind me of hunger games because they have a tradition and people die in
booth stories?
I think one of the themes is nerves because they don’t want to be picked. Because if you’re
picked you get stoned to death and people are killing their friends and that
makes it sad. I think that if you picked the black dot you would run off because
you didn’t want to be picked. I think it’s scary to be picked. That s a few
themes about the book
I think it could use a little more detailed but otherwise it has good organization!
