I have beaten

the boy

that was outside

the school

he was probably

sad

after the beating

I was mad

Because I'm cured

Austin S. and I wrote this parody from the original “This is just to say” to the book “Touching Spirit Bear”.  We wrote this from Cole to Peter about the brawl scene between the two. The tone of the poem is sad yet sarcastic. The mood of the poem is sorrow. Overall it was difficult to think of the parody but once we got it going it was pretty easy.
