I think the fugitive language is “life for me ain’t no crystal stair”. I think what she means by this is life isn’t going to be that easy and never give up. I also think she want him to live up to all his potential. Another one I think is “where their ain’t no light”. Because in your life there is ups and down and the ups give you light and the lows give you black. Because she doesn’t want him to give up and she is supporting him pretty much. I think the mother wants him to never give up in life and he doesn’t that’s what I think. The tone of the story was never give up. She also wants him to fulfill his dreams and to make it all the way. The mood of the story is low tense because she want him to succeed in life.
