“This is Just to Say” Parody

I have beaten

the boy

that was outside

the school

and then

he was probably

sad

after the beating

Forgive me

I was mad

so mad

and now sad

Austin S. and I wrote this parody on the book “Touching Spirit Bear”.  We wrote this from Cole to Peter about the brawl scene. The tone of the poem is sad yet sarcastic. The mood of the poem is sorrow. Overall it was difficult to think of the parody but once we got it going it was pretty easy.
